Chambres d’ amis, marrakesh

So I have 2 more amazing places to show you, but I had to share my favourite first! Chambres d’ Amis was like home away from home. A warm, friendly and personal atmosphere, with only 5 rooms, you were not just another number. This Dutch owned riad is super quirky and fabulously stylish with a relaxed atmosphere. I loved coming in from a hustling, bustling trip winding round the souks to return to this quiet sanctuary to be greeted with mint tea and pastries and relaxing on the roof terrace in the sunshine.

Chambres d’Amis is well situated in a quiet street (Which your need), yet 5 minutes from the energetic Jemaa el Fnaa and 2 minutes from the shopping Mecca, The Souks.

Loved the attention to detail in the rooms! Complimentary bottled water, handmade taps and fittings, beautiful Moroccan décor pieces and a touch of quirk! Maybe a yellow rubber duck in your bath or a series of plastic Buddha’s above the bed. I felt like I was in the pages of a décor magazine. There’s always a nice surprise around every corner :)

Chambres d’Amis also partner with Souk Cuisine and you can do cooking classes at the Riad. Had lots of fun in the saloon drinking rose by the fire and sampling delicious home made tagines.

Chambres d’Amis are offering a special for Kim Gray Readers for June/July 2013. If you’ve not planned a holiday for 2013 yet – MOROCCO!!!! And take me with you!

For bookings: [email protected] – QUOTE: KIM GRAY BLOG for the special offer.

As I said on Trip Advisor. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere where I’ve left feeling like I’ve made friends!
