Social stationery

Yesterday my heart was filled with desire to play with candy coloured papers, sparkles, lace ribbons, decals, laser cut fabrics and all things party pretty after visiting the lovely design team at Elsje Designs. They are designing me a social calling card, (more on that in another post) that has me inviting myself to events just so I can hand them out! So excited!

I have only recently discovered your blog and am absolutely addicted!Going through your archives,I have my heart set on finally creating a mood board of my own, full of inspiration and the lace and/or DIY kit would just add to the sparkle!

  3. I am constantly on the look out for DIY projects for my wedding. I think this tape would be great around the bottom of old glass jars filled with country flowers or would be the perfect seal for our invitations.

  4. Planning on getting married next year, but have no idea where to start!

Will use the lace to tailor make my own “save the date cards”. That’s a start, is it not?

  5. decorate thank you letters! definitely :)

  6. I would use it as a stencil for painting my plain white t-shirt..maybe along the collar.

  7. I would use the tape to elegantly seal all my save the date envelopes for my wedding which I am planning. Looking forward to shopping for lined envelopes for the invites at Elsje Designs.

  8. I would use the tape to decorate various pots for my current project – creating a vintage-inspired bathroom…got the inspiration from an antique mirror left to me by my grandmother.
Would also be handy for invites, baby room etc.

  9. I’d use it to wrap up the parcel I am putting together for my sister and her three kids that live in the UK. I have not seen them in three years so want to make the package look super special!

  10. Great article – I love Elsje’s work!

Oh I have so many ideas! I would use it to add a special vintage touch to white tea cups when decorating for tea with girl friends, I’ll decorate gift packages and create cards or wrap it around a pretty cupcake and it will look beautiful wrapped around a glass with freshly picked flowers or herbs in it.

  11. To tie a bow around some gold curtaining I got for my best friends bday!
ps. Kim I really need to know where I can get a pin board like above, could you maybe mail me with some suppliers, kinda dof when it comes to stuff like above, loves it tho.

  12. For my country and vintage inspired wedding my three little flower girls are wearing teal and white tutus. The perfect touch would be to line their white rose petal baskets with this gorgoeus lace ribbon.

  13. I would use it to decorate wrapping paper or use it as a stencil on fabric

  14. I LOVE scrapbooking, arts & crafts and I would definitely use the lace for that. Or when I wrap gifts for birthdays etc – presentation of the gift, is half the gift!

I love Elsje Designs – absolutely creative!

  15. so many uses so little time. 1) to go around/ border my message board as you walk in my house- set the perfect mood 2) round the black board in the play room (my daughters adore pretty lacey looking things) 3) to frame a plain grey card for darling friends and family gifts 4) used on grey tissue paper to wrap a delicate gift (mimic the ribbon)or better still on a black gift box 5) round the glasses – man I love that idea – esp with my lace table cloth fancy nancy party or better still vintage 6) on the brooches my daughters and I make 7)On placecards 8) On envelopes as a signature accent 9)On little thank-you notes 10) Invitations

  16. Yes, please I’d love to win this, I’m a total stationery/DIY and lace fan!
So many things you can do with this tape, I’d definitely use it to decorate a gift simply wrapped in brown craft paper and to make fun placemats for dinner parties!

  17. Would have to be be as a border on a sliver tray with mirror inlay, adored with an old milk bottle and some some plain glasses, all with the same border around the glasses.

Could also work wonders on a lampshade!

  18. I am just finishing off the redecorating of my bathroom with some vintage touches. I have been pricing vintage mirrors and they are ridiculously expensive. This tape would be ideal for DIYing my own vintage mirror.

  19. Got engaged on the 7th of July… and I love all things vintage… I’m hoping to have a romantic vintage inspired wedding. I’m sure this lace tape will be perfect for the decorations.

  20. What an awesome giveaway! I have some windows crying out for whimsical decorative edges! Will be browsing the site for more stuff too, gorgeous inspiration!

Would so use that tape to make little suprises to leave in my friend’s boxes as we make the final push to the end of our honours! It’s only the pretty things that get us though now :)

  22. I’d use the whole kit for everything! Like sending pretty lacy thank you notes for all the wonderful gifts I got for my Birthday; for Invites for dinner parties; to decorate my laptop (vintagiefy it :) ) and lastly I want to use it for a gift for my mum – a decorated Vase and the lace trimming would just finish it off!

  23. I’d help restore the lost art of letter writing – secretly penning poetry on a beautifully decorated, jasmine-scented handwritten note to the one I love. With memories of country flowers and vanilla cookies, a little lace can create a romantic rendezvous with a charming, bygone era.

  24. I’ve just recently made a chandelier from hanging jars, and I think the lace tape wrapped around each jar would be the perfect finishing touch!

  25. I would definitely use it to frame the long mirror in my bedroom, I LOVE lace! I’m also planning to repaint my old chest of drawers and would work it in there somewhere too.

  26. I absolutely LOVE wrapping presents beautifully – it is my favourite part of giving gifts, because if it’s wrapped with love and it’s beautiful, the gesture is a million times more special. Each gift is seen as a work of art in my eyes and I love it when people really appreciate the presentation. I think this tape would look absolutely incredible sealing a gift wrapped in simple, traditional brown paper. Finish it off with a plain, old-fashioned label tag and you have a stylish, old-fashioned and special parcel.

  27. I’d love to use the lace tape on glass bottles and fill them with proteas to put on the tables at my wedding next year March :)
