36 boutiques

On 29 March, 36boutiques, a private event retailer and luxury shopping concept in South Africa started by Nicky Boy, launched its first online designer boutique sale, featuring both men and ladies wear. The sale events are for members only, so go and sign up now at www.36boutiques.com.

I was invited to an exclusive shopping experience courtesy of 36 Boutiques. Lucky for me, their first designer sale was Stefania Morland, one of South Africa’s hottest designers who I love. Eeeeh did I jump for joy. With R2500 credit loaded to my account, I got to SHOP!

During sale events members will have exclusive access to discounts of between 35 and 80% off the retail price of South Africa’s most desirable designer labels, as well as imported luxury brands.Sale events will feature various boutiques and each sale lasts for only 36 hours – from 12 noon on a Monday to the same time on a Wednesday.Amongst others, event sales from Jingle & Chime (SA singer Louise Carver’s jewellery range), Hermanna Rush and iconic British brand Ben Sherman will follow.

I’m looking forward to upcoming sales. I found the whole experience rather exciting and the site was easy to use and the pictures informative.

Look what I bought! Chuffed!

Designers embracing the web

Great to see more and more designers slowly gracing the web! As Sarah Dickson said in an interview on Ifashion, “ Sarah Dickson of shop-label.com agreed with Duarte that local designers should embrace online media. “Today if you hear the name of a designer, you automatically Google them.”

Check out Stefania Morland’s Blog and her oh so beautiful collections.

I loved these images shot by Antonia Steyn who I had the privilege of shooting the latest Tempo Watches Campaign with. Here she shoots for designer Stefania Morland. Like pieces of art against the wall, Stefania hand picks her fabrics from all around the world for you to enjoy and purchase, right here at her Kloof Street boutique, Cape Town.
