Win A Valentines Day Dinner With U Cook

I remember the first Valentines Day dinner my husband and I went on. The complimentary bubbly (with plastic tasting cherry) was awful, he stood on a sharp piece of metal in the door way causing a blood filled shoe and the weather was miserable- our choice of destination is what you’d call an epic fail!

So, if eating in is more your thing – U Cook are giving away a tasty Valentines Day Box for you to enjoy either cooking together or to surprise your loved one.

There are two boxes to choose from:

One vegetarian; which includes a starter of tomato, red pepper & camembert bruschetta, followed by a main of Fig, Almond and Goat’s cheese salad, rounded out with a marbled raspberry cheesecake. (R545)

The non-vegetarian box boasts the same starter and desserts as the vegetarian box, but with the main course being a fragrant sundried tomato and artichoke stuffed chicken with herbed potatoes. (R595)

Both baskets also include chocolate and a bottle of wine (red or white).

If cooking on the evening takes up too much time, or you have a special location planned, then check out the pre-cooked picnic baskets, sure to make the evening run smoothly. There are three options available:

Vegetarian basket containing a selection of dips (including tzatziki and hummus) along with two salads (tabouleh and cous-cous with pumpkin and feta), a selection of cheeses, an Asian style “raw-slaw” wrap as well as two desserts – Banoffi and cheesecake. (R450)

The Rustic basket is similar only with the addition of chicken liver pattè and a cold meat selection to go along with the cheese selection. (R575)

Premium basket comes with a far larger selection of cheeses and cold meats. (R750)

All baskets also include a bottle of wine (red or white) and a bar of Honest chocolate. xx

U COOK

Towards the end of last year I got to try out a couple of recipes from http://www.ucook.co.za and it was such fun. U COOK is an on line platform whereby you choose your meal, they deliver the ingredients with a recipe and you cook it!

Fresh, vibrant and beautifully packaged, my ingredients.

The recipes were really thorough and I loved that I even learned a cooking tip or two. Below, one of my favourite kitchen gadgets. The Joseph Joseph Herb Chopper from Yuppie Chef.

While I should probably not enter Master Chef (Aah, plating!!), I had great fun, the food was my kind of food (healthy & Fresh) and really tasty. For more visit http://www.ucook.co.za.
