Soy Lites

I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date . . . high tea at the table bay hotel

Last week I had the divine opportunity to invite, a few fellow talented bloggers, to High Tea at The Table Bay Hotel as part of my Birthday Month of Celebrations.

I thought, this is my opportunity to spoil the girls, and so I organized goodie bags. (Oh how I love to organize)

Thanks to Old Khaki, Poetry, DKNY, Eye Slices, Tip Top Nails, Soy Lites and Anesi for being part of these pretty pamper packs.

The Table Bay is currently running a themed High Tea based on the Mad Hatters Tea Party. I really did feel like Alice amongst all the splendor. We were first treated to delicious savories like salmon and cream cheese samies and later delicious scones with lemon curd. Mmmm.

Then we got to savour these delicious sweets while doing a champagne tasting.(I had the lemon tart, out of this world!) Graham Beck, Krone and Taittinger where on the menu. All seriously delicious. We had a little lesson while we did the tasting that I found most fascinating. (Like the smaller the bubbles the better, that saved me the embarrassment of sending back a “flat” bottle)

We also got to learn the fine art of Sabrage, and then some of the ladies got to try it too.  All cameras where whipped out as lots of cheering began.

After a bit of an education, we got to natter and catch up while listening to the harp being played in the background. All round it was relaxed and decadent, true Table Bay Style.

Thanks to The Table Bay for hosting us! The High Tea is definitely a must, with the most incredible view of Table Mountain as you sip you tea, or champagne! x

BEAUTY FEATURE FRIDAY – SOY LITES

Wow, I am now a big fan of Soy Lites Massage and Oil Candles. Not only do they smell amazing, they are a 2 in one therapy candle. While providing an aromatic and uplifting fragrance, the oil left behind is used as a treatment on the skin.

Massage Body Candle:

The Massage Body Candle when burnt, burns at a low temperature and the oil that is left behind, is used as a massage oil. It contains aromatherapy benefits i.e.I am trying out the Detoxifying Candle with Avocado, marula, grapefruit, fennel and juniperberry which aids in the treatment of skin ailments and fatigued muscles. The candle has 50 hours burning time, comes in a re-usable glass container and is biodegradable and non toxic.

Moisturizing Body Candle:

Again when burnt, an oil is left behind that is rubbed into the skin. The moisturizing oil can be used on cracked heels, eczema, psoriasis, dry skin and other skin ailments. The Vanilla Spice Candle I’m trying is heavenly, with Pine, Vanilla, Cinnamon and Clove, it’s completely soothing and relaxing to the senses. These candles are a real treat. No ordinary candle, I think these make decadent gifts.
