Don’t worry, I will be visiting ON TAP to replace that plastic shower trap! 🙂

So, day two of bathroom renovations. I can’t believe how much bigger this tiny bathroom feesl just having knocked out the shower doors. Now we’ll  just have 2 half walls that will be screeded white. Hopefully tomorrow my ON TAP pieces will be revealed.

In other news. I finally got my Lula Fabrics Curtains made. (Thanks mom!) Well one half for now anyway. Love this sheer linen fabric. Just softens the room beautifully.

My design series

So I’ve been wanting to do something with this horrid corner in my garden for ages. The washing line was previously on the green wall. So we’ve put it against the house which can now be tucked away/blends in etc…

We’ve put in sticks along the wall and got these awesome pots at an absolute song (on sale) from Stodels with some Natal Banana Trees from the Kirstenbosch Nursery. We’re trying to create a little slice of our Bali Honeymoon 🙂

Next, I’m on the hunt for a beautiful big umbrella, fabric to make lounger cushions, more stones to cover the drain and a stunning little side table of sorts… Eventually nice tiles around the pool. Boy do I love a project!

Speaking of projects. Monday we begin renovating our guest bathroom. Look at these amazing, handmade tiles from Casa Tiles and light fitting and basin from Moroccan Warehouse. I’m so thrilled with my finds and can’t wait to get going. Watch this space.

Stucco italiano and casa tiles

I finally went to the Stucco Italiano and Casa Tiles Showroom. I’ve been DYING to go! Wow, and it exceeded my expectations.

These are some of the amazing colours and textures used to create wall and floor finishes.

And how incredible are these tiles . . .

Love this simple yet hugely effective his and hers basin.

I’m so excited to be renovating our outside bathroom with them – keep checking back to see which tiles and wall finishes I choose. Exciting!

Casa tiles

I’m so excited by the launch of Casa Tiles, a new venture started by Kundra of The Moroccan Warehouse. I’ve seen some of the tiles but need to go back – I simply can’t decide, as I’m renovating our 2nd bathroom, another exciting project I can’t wait to blog about in My Design Series. Watch this space!

The different patterns can be made up in different colour combinations.

Their amazing stand at Decorex.

Go and take a visit, directions and details below. I can’t wait to go back!
