I’ve had the privilege of working with Grace & having been quoted by her for Stylist Magazine. She writes for the likes of Vogue, Glamour, Red, Sunday Times Style and Allure.com and what I know you’re going to love even more, is MUM FACE! She’s a hoot and I know you’re going to love this interview as much as I do! xx

TITLE: Grace Timothy, Journalist & Editor, MUMFACE

1. ) How did your business come about? How was this idea born and what lead you to do what you’re doing now?

MUMFACE (mum-face.com and the YouTube channel) were born out of my annoyance at seeing the term bandied around to describe the look all mums will inevitably develop: grey, haggard, knackered. I wanted to show little quick and easy ways to perk you up, just for fun. No pressure to look good, just nice feed-good things I know work, from my viewpoint as both a mum and a beauty editor.

2.) Tell us about your morning routine. Any specific rituals / productivity aspects etc

I always cleanse in the morning – usually a micellar and a balm if there’s time. A splash of cold water perks me up and then it’s a very quick makeup routine – the video MUMFACE Makeup in 10 shows how quick!

Hi,hi -me interrupting quick, quick – I love hearing about morning routines, so here’s a goodie. Max Your Shower Power!)

3.) What inspires you?

Mainly my mum – she worked, had several really fulfilling, interesting careers, was really sociable but always seemed to be present for me – how did she do that?!

4.) Biggest lesson you’ve learnt?

Not everyone will like what you’re doing, but if it’s something you believe in, just keeping going. Be kind with it, and if it provides one person with a pleasant time out, that’s enough.

5.) Your work space? Clean & Minimal or Eclectic and colourful – what would we find on your desk?

Eclectic – I have a desk at Glamour and a desk at home, so spread between the two are SO many beauty products – I could open my own counter.

6.) Top 3 entrepreneurial tips?

I don’t have any!!!

7.) Who are you currently listening to?

Beyonce. Ellie Goulding.

8.) Your best marketing tool?

Instagram.

9.) Dream Big Right? What’s next for you?

I’d really like to do a book – that’s always been the plan, I just keep finding other projects to distract!
