TANAZ in conjunction with the masters behind L’Oréal Professionnel have launched a new in-salon Steampod hair styling treatment system designed to impart super sleek locks and extend your style. This innovative tool uses a specialized straightening iron to deliver a localized stream of high pressure steam to the hair shaft, deeply hydrating the hair without causing heat damage or drying it out.

What is L’Oreal Proffessionnel Steampod treatment?

Not dissimilar from a traditional salon blow dry, L’Oreal’s Steampod treatment sees a preparation cream, which is packed with cuticle-smoothing keratin and ceramides, applied to shampooed hair before it’s expertly blow dried. The second step, where the treatment gets a bit more focused, uses a specialized straightening iron to deliver a localized stream of high pressure steam to the hair shaft, deeply hydrating the hair without causing heat damage or drying it out to deliver a high gloss finish.

Unlike traditional straightening irons, the Steampod hair tool continually releases steam while the detangling comb attachment and the anodized ceramic plates effortlessly straighten and add a high gloss shine that lasts until your next shampoo.

Who is it for?

All hair types will benefit from the hair shaft smoothing effects of a Steampod treatment. As the tool has five temperature settings, meaning it can be adjusted to suit your hair, especially suited to coarse, curly and thick locks that will reap its shine-boosting benefits. Don’t be put off by the straightening element if you have fine hair. Akin to traditional hair straighteners, the tool can be used to make even the finest of hair wavy, curly or voluminous.

How often do you need them?

Unlike its longer-lasting sister treatment, the Brazilian blow dry, a Steampod treatment is a short term solution that only lasts a matter of days.
Added on to your monthly cut and blow dry or as an indulgence before a big event, it’s a great way to get smooth, sleek hair if you’re usually cursed by frizz. It’ll extend the life of your blow dry making it a nice tag-on to your hairdresser trip however ultimately it won’t transform your hair permanently. When combined with the new Steampod haircare preparation and finishing products, locks feel protected and wonderfully soft to the touch. When used in conjunction with the smoothing creams, you can enjoy an anti-frizz smoothing effect that lasts up to five days.

In a nutshell, the steam pod offers both a treatment and style in one. It leaves your hair frizz and humidity proof until its next wash. Best of all, the way this is achieved is actually quicker than a blow dry and iron.
