Woolworths Earth Friendly Products

Woolworths launches its Earth Friendly Range consisting of household cleaning, personal care and baby toiletry products.

The household cleaning range is made with biodegradable cleaning ingredients and contain essential oils that are all sourced from nature. They contain no artificial colours and, in line with our sustainability principles, contain no animal ingredients and are not tested on animals.

The Earth Friendly range also includes a range of toiletries for the whole family, now with a fresh new look. Each product is made with naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients and contains no artificial colours. The entire range has been dermatologically tested and is suitable for sensitive skin. Like all Woolworths beauty and skin care products, the Earth Friendly toiletries are not tested on animals and are endorsed by Beauty Without Cruelty.

Now I’ve become bit of a face moisturiser snob being privy to trying out so many fabulous brands, and would never really look to a super market store brand for my face. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the Woolworths Earth Friendly Facial Moisturiser in its easy to use, pump action bottle. Containing papaya extract and inca inchi oil, it smells fresh. Its a light, creamy texture and easily absorbed feeling great on my skin. I do kind of love the fuss free packaging! My toiletry bag won’t miss the silver and gold flecks from all that fancy metallic packaging that loves to fleck like glitter!

The papaya extract in the Woolworths Earth Friendly Facial Moisturiser helps replenish your skin’s moisture while the rich essential fatty acids of Omega 3, 6 and 9 in inca inchi oil help soothe, protect and maintain the elasticity of your skin.

Anyway, at R49.99 for 100ml, give it a go and see what you think?

Hi, I just wanted to bring to your attention that these are not earth friendly at all. If you look closely at the ingredients they are still filled with toxins. There’s a very good article out describing which harmful chemicals these contain http://www.travelwrite.co.za/you-listening-woolworths/. Woolworths really doesn’t understand organic consumers at all – if they did they would stop greenwashing like this as it’s really starting to damage their reputation. I try not to shop there any more because of it. I just don’t feel that you can trust what they say.

I tend to agree with you Kerry. Apparently there home cleaning products are fully biodegradable and earth friendly, but they really need to do a retake on their body range, or remove it from the Earth Friendly range. If you look at the labeling, it says ‘made with biodegradable and made with natural ingredients’. But just how much is not biodegradable and natural?
