Romance at the 12 Apostles Spa

The Spa at The Twelve Apostles, recently voted ‘Best Spa in Africa’ in the 2012 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Hotels Awards, and named ‘Best Spa Hotel/Resort in Southern Africa and the Indian Ocean’ in the 2012 The Spa Traveller Awards, is the perfect place to indulge in some Valentines Day Pampering, and I was lucky enough to experience it first hand.

Firstly this is one of the most magnificent spa’s I’ve ever been too. It’s like walking into an all-white, ice princess’ cave of pampering with its ethereal, all-white crystal grotto interior. It also boasts two outdoor Gazebos – which are a must on a beautiful day.

So to my delight we walked up to one of the two gazebo’s and enjoyed a couples, 90 min full body massage. SPOIL!  I loved that facing down while being massaged, their was a beautiful pink crystal and gorgeous smelling fynbos below you. So often, even though you’re going to probably close your eyes, you great a blank floor.

Being in the mountains and finishing off your massage over looking the ocean alongside your partner, was truly romantic, and there’s just something special about being out in nature! Talking about romance, we finished off with bubbles and oysters – happiness all round! So very lovely! I’d book fast! The spa was busy even for a Monday night, clearly very popular and it’s easy to see why once you’ve had the 12 Apostles experience.
