BEAUTY FEATURE FRIDAY – MAKE UP TIPS & TRICKS
I’ve been sharing with you some of the latest and greatest make-up products on the market, as well as some of my favorites, but what to do with half of them? Good friend and make-up artist Jade Legatt shares some tips and tricks she uses on her fashions shoots that can be applied to every day make-up.

Jade’s make-up kit on an Oprah Shoot.

5 Make-up Tips:
- Unruly eyebrows? Spritz an eyebrow comb with hair spray and neatly comb your brows into place, the spray will set and hold the shape longer.
- Nipple cream as a lip balm, a best kept secret for keeping lips soft and moisturised all year round.
- Blush is not a luxury but a necessity for most, smile and apply a pop of pink colour on the apples of your cheeks, it adds brightness to any face.
- Instead of pumping your mascara wand in and out of the container (this only dries it out quicker) rather twist the wand around from side to side.
- The eyelash curler is a make-up artist’s best friend, curled lashes help open the eyes and create the illusion of fuller longer lashes (especially when paired with lashings of mascara.)
- Smokey eye in 1,2,3.. Use an eye pencil in any colour of your choice (my favourites are Aubergine, emerald green and bronze) to line the top lash line from corner to corner. Also line under the eye but stop a third of the way along. Smudge with an ear bud and finish with a healthy coating of mascara.
Well I sure learnt a tip or two. Thanks Jade! If you want to learn more, why not attend the Jo Borkett and Estee Lauder workshops. Plus get 15% off any cocktail wear. What a combo! See you there!
